Viasat World has been awarded the prestigious Silver Clio Award for Viasat History’s campaign for “Empire of the Tsars: Romanov Russia” at the Grand Clio Key Art Awards and Agency, Studio, Television Network and Game Publisher "Of the Year" Awards. The campaign was awarded in the Television/Streaming: Special Shoot Spot or Promo for Documentaries category, where Viasat History was also nominated for “Medieval Murder Mysteries.”
The Clio Key Art Awards are the original and definitive distinction in creative communications for the entertainment business. Born in 1971, The Clio Key Art Awards fully became a Clio’s property in 2015, and with partner The Hollywood Reporter continues expanding its reach -- across movies, TV and gaming -- while staying true to its film-industry origins.
Karin Heijink, Vice President of Channels and Products comments, “To be presented with such a prestigious award is a huge honour and reflects our ambitions to be a creative, innovative, entertainment company across all areas of our business.” Karin continues, “To receive this, on the eve of our first birthday as a new company, is a delightful present and a huge credit to the marketing and creative teams' hard work.”
The good news for Viasat World continues with The Empire of the Tsars nominated for next Wednesday's Eyes and Ears awards and, along with Medieval Murder Mysteries, is nominated in the Best Foreign Language Category, at Promax UK Conference and Awards on November 4th.
The campaign for “Empire of the Tsars: Romanov Russia” was conceived by Viasat World in London, with Sergey Saprygin as Lead Creative and Director, overseen by Paul Evans as Senior Creative, and wonderfully produced in Moscow by Dmitry Bogdanov and his team at “Rivelty Group” - a Russian film-company of creative specialists which produce all types of amazing content and CG.
